This will be one of our last transmissions, we're ending our journey at a good time, Jenny had an electrical fire, and then overheated last night in the middle of nowhere. We've had a hell of a ride for about 4000 miles, and we appreciate you reading and donating to our gas fund. Watch out for More pictures! Ryan out.

6.21.2009

We were somewhere around Barstow on the edge of the desert when the
drugs began to take hold.

Just doing some paper surfin'

Turns out one of the wires to either the radio or the horn shorted and started a small electrical fire. Jenny suffered some 3rd degree burns on some of her carpet up front. We will be cruising in silence for a while, but the most important thing is that the Westerfellas will live to see another highway. We've decided that We would start moving towards our homeland a little earlier than planned. Ryan out.
We came back to the car after swimming and the inverter started beeping like mad, so we jumped into action, next thing we know there's smoke coming from the battery compartment!

We're gonna go prance around in the ocean now like sea fairies. Till
next time, Ryan out.

6.20.2009

This is a ridiculous freedom loving, gas guzzling, American powerhouse
that we spotted at the pismo beach car show. Afterwards we cruised to
The nearest walmart to catch some sleep. Tomorrow were hoping to wake
up and swim in the ocean (weather permitting of course.) Ryan out.

Just a little south of Monterey CA, we stopped to get inspired for our
next boy band album. We're taking a pretty slow and easy cruise down
highway 1. Ryan out.

Alex and Jarrad in downtown San Fran
We are leaving San Francisco, Jarrad almost lost his skateboard to the great hills. Ron was a most excellent host, but now were ready to rough it again. Our funds are running dangerously low, so I'll be going on the one ramen per day diet, maybe a little ketchup packet snack here and there. Ryan out.

6.19.2009

Hey,
Were just hanging in San Francisco at pier 39, hopefully gonna do some
awesome stuff, for free, our funds, or at least mine are.. Alex, over
and out.

thanks for looking at our site, click some ads to give us some pocket change. alex, over and out.
Posting up with some wifi at the Gerling suite in San Francisco has allowed me to play with my technology. I found some pics on the dslr. This is the beach from where we spent the second night on the Oregon Coast.
These two are from hiking when we stayed in Redwoods.
This one is Jarrad with Alex lurking on a scenic turnout in the Redwoods.

Made a quick and dirty panorama from the super gnarly Burnside skatepark in Portland.

Should be able to snag some SF pics tomorrow. All is well. -Josh A.

A couple more donuts later, we made it to San fran, we are lucky
enough to stay at Ron Gerling's place. It's practically a suite at the
Hilton, compared to where we've been sleeping! After some delicious
but affordable mexican food, we're ready to hit the town. Ryan out.

Woke up kinda late this morning to the classic redwood Forrest fog and
mist. We're headed for San Fran today. We all had the donut craving
this morning so we stopped in Eureka. Unfortunately everyone had at
least four so the sugar rush and stomach ache is on. Just pulled off
the 101 for the redwoods scenic bypass avenue of the giants. More
picture updates to come when we get Internet in SF. In the meantime,
here's a pic of the camp from last night.

Well I guess I lied about the lack of service earlier. Turns out we
ended up at patricks pt. State park which is kind of a suburb of the
redwoods. We got this awesome beach, plus big trees are overrated.
There is probably an over population problem with crows in this area
so Alex is gonna try to tag one with a bb gun. I'm about to enjoy this
campfire. Ryan out.
This could be our last transmission for a while, we are heading into dense redwood forestry. Using our superb skills we will outwit nature and survive the night. (and by skills I mean our van and other technology.)

Hey guys,
We made it to California, we are currently leaving crescent city and
heading towards redwood national forest. Jarrad is about 15 pages
away from finishing East of Eden.
Josh finished his gay pride parade ride, and is cruisin in jenny now.
Alex, over and out.
Success! We didn't get kicked out of our "campsite" last night! We woke up to beautiful sunshine, and Jarrad thinks he is getting over dysentary! And josh went on some kind of freedom tour on his bicycle! Redwood forest here we come. Ryan out.

6.16.2009

Unfortunately, we couldn't find a walmart tonight, so this is what we
had to settle on...

I was just kidding with that last emo update. We're always having a
good time. Our professional diagnosis of jarrads ailment is a sinus
infection or maybe just a plain ol' cold. We're still cruising down
the 101 and looking for a place to get some zzz's. We took a pit stop
at some cool sand dunes for a little while today, Alex rolled around
in it for a bit, but the rest of us opted out on the count of no
showers for a while
Ryan out. .
The Oregon trail has been arduous to say the least. Jarrad has yet to overcome his typhoid. The dreary, low hanging rain clouds are trying to crush our spirits. Jenny & the westerfellas are blasting through these tough times in search of sunshine and good times. Ryan out.
Family photo at Fort Casey while waiting for the ferry to Port Townsend.
Jenny and the bros riding the ferry.
Burnside panorama soon to come. Not overrated, definately gnar.

We got to the beach and were so inspired we formed a boy band, and
this is our album cover. Ryan out.

Caught these two Westerfellas taking a little nap as we cruise down OR
18 toward Lincoln city. Ryan out.

Hey guys,
Were leaving newburg now, the skatepark was awesome. Were going to
Lincoln city now and were gonna find a nice place to post up at.
Oh also I downloaded an awesome new app for my phone, it makes me do
awesome pictures like the one I'm posting. Alex, over and out.
Oh, and one more thing, Ryan would like to make a shot out to his puppy, Sunny, who got bitten by a rattle snake yesterday, and quite possibly be a walking tripod:( We are all hoping for the best.

Also, a happy late birthday to Ryan and I's grandpa Ron. Happying birthday grandpa!

We woke up this morning at a rest area near battleground, wa. Got
some free coffee from some vet's, we unanimously decided that the
coffee tasted like a honey bucket (see previous entries.)

After that we went back to tv battleground skatepark to lay some
hammers down, like usual. We all got a couple of tricks, even Jarrad
with his white spotted throat!

We were done with that park after about and hour and a half, and we
went to visit the super famous Burnside skatepark in Portland, OR. We
all took a couple of cruises around the old used up concrete. And I
decided that the park was just all hype, and the only reason it was
cool because just a couple of guys made it.

But anywho enough of my ranting, we are pulling up to newburg
skatepark, which is outside Portland. Hopefully we can actually skate
this park rather than just look at it. Over and out, alex.
